A genetically engineered ape begins to wonder if he’s ever going to be more than just a pet. It’s been a while since I’ve seen an action movie that also has real emotional depth. The development of the main ape, Caesar, is genuinely interesting and believable. And while the movie expands its scope significantly towards the end, it doesn’t forget that this is really just the story of one ape and his surrogate father. Worth Watching.
