Jacques Tati pantomimes his way through an ultra modern Paris. For those new to the cinema of Jacques Tati it helps to know the basics: there is basically no dialogue, and what dialogue there is, isn’t really important. There is basically no story, and what story there is, isn’t really important. At their core, these films are an elaborate and farcical artistic re-imagining of daily life. Worth watching.
