The idea is good, even if the specific form in which it is expressed leaves something to be desired. Nicolas Cage plays a wealthy and successful executive who gets a version of the It’s a Wonderful Life treatment, experiencing how different choices would have made his life different. This ain’t modern art, the movie has a message. But I have no problem with that. Worth checking out.

I was always a fan of this movie. Like you said, it’s got its problems, it’s even a little hokey at times, but it’s got a good message and as satisfying of an ending as you could hope for with these kinds of movies.
