Yep, it’s like Knocked Up with women. This movie brings Judd Apatow’s signature blend of comedy and emotion as we watch Kristin Wiig make a mess of her life and then sort it out a little bit. Sookie from Gilmore Girls also makes an appearance and does a great job. If you liked Judd Apatow’s other movies, there’s no reason you won’t like this one. Worth checking out.

Jason Segel helps his brother fulfill his dreams of becoming an entertainer.  However, Jason also promises to spend time with his fiancee Amy Adams simultaneously.  Jason needs to get a day planner.  Also, the Muppets are in this movie.  Soundtrack needed more original songs like all muppet movies have.  Man or Muppet song won an Academy Award but Rainbow Connection didn’t?  Too many cameos to care about.  There were plenty of funny jokes, but, don’t believe the hype.  Watchable

Danny McBride and James Franco are brother princes on a quest to save James Franco’s love Zooey Deschanel.  Along the way they meet and team up with Natalie Portman a Xena Warrior Princess on an overlapping quest.  Witty sexy repartee mixed with slapstick medieval comedy and dick jokes ensue.  This movie is Robinhood Men In Tights meets … Danny McBride.  Worth Checking Out.

This movie is Hoosiers meets The Lord of the Rings.  Samwise Gamgee dreams of playing football at Notre Dame college.   How’ere, since he’s a hobbit, he does not possess the physical stature nor the abilities to play the game well.  Furthermore he is poor and stupid, so he can’t get into the school.  This movie is a true testament to the indomitable spirit of the hobbit people.   The song Rudie Can’t Fail is about this movie.  Worth Checking Out.

X Men: The Last Stand by jaemskeray

In the third installment of the X Men franchise, the first two movies are farted on.  All character development is thrown out the window for more computer graphic explosions and slow motion walking towards battles!  I think what happened is they forgot to write a movie, and then were like, “uh oh, its due tomorrow!”   This movie was a big “f you!” to the fans of the X Men franchise, it taints all prequels, spin offs, or X Men 4s or 5s, WHATEVER!!!  I would give a summation of the plot but I think the title pretty much sums it up: X Men, Last Stand.  This movie is a piece of poo meets another piece of poo to make one big pile of crap.  Unwatchable

Alien vs. Predator (AVP) by jaemskeray

Way to revive two franchises at once, AVP!  AVP is the MVP of both of franchises.  Well, maybe not the MVP, more like the MIP, most IMPROVED player… and its WNBA, not NBA.  Ir-regard / regardless (but never “irregardless”), it may not be (is definitely not be) the best of the bunch. But it does provide nourishment to those hungry for more aliens and/or predators.  A team of archeologists find an Egyptian pyramid under-ice whilst in the Antarctic.  Within the pyramid, Predators hunt Aliens as a rite of passage sorta thing, and the archeologists are stuck in the middle.  Movie is kinda (exactly) like Alien meets Predator meets ensemble action movie with no one famous and they all get picked off one by one until only the pretty girl and the attractive guy are left, oops.  Watchable.

Corey Haim is an aggravating, entitled teenager who fails his driver’s license test but steals his grandpa’s car and goes a-drivin’ anyway.  The whole thing is John Hughes without soul; Ferris Bueller without any indication of charm, intelligence, or character.  The script is like an episode of Happy Days dragged out for two hours, with all the same tired stereotypes — the only bright spot is the road test, with James “Uncle Phil” Avery as the no nonsense DMV examiner.  (That guy is really good at looking upset — he made a career out of it!) Barely Watchable.
