Matt Dillon is a 14 year old street punk who idolizes his older brother Mickey Rourke who has been out of town for a couple of months getting a heavy dose of crazy. Francis Ford Coppola has made a French New Wave-style film about teenage angst in Oklahoma. Oh yeah, and the experimental soundtrack is by the drummer from The Police. There is so much about this film that is rough and at times borderline silly, but somehow it all feels cohesive and very exciting. Worth checking out.
