Pinhole Movie Reviews

Lars and the Real Girl by William

Loner Ryan Gosling surprises his small town by introducing them to his new girlfriend, a realistic love doll that he ordered online. Yes, of course I expected this movie to be terrible. But it’s not. The story is sweet and silly but contains hidden depths, and Ryan Gosling does a great job in making Lars seem believable. Brace yourself, because I’m calling this one Required Viewing.

Thanks for marking this required viewing because I would never have watched it otherwise…it is great!

Wow, you acted fast on that one. Most days this would probably be a Worth Watching, but I was thinking about your “Terminator” anecdote and the movies for which I would sit my hypothetical girlfriend down and say, “clear your schedule, because we’re watching this movie.”

I think if there’s a movie that no matter how many times you’ve seen it, you’ll always be willing to watch it again with someone who hasn’t, that fact alone may be enough for a bump to Required Viewing.
