Inside Llewyn Davis by jaemskeray

Llewyn Davis is an extremely talented and super depressed folk singer surviving in New York City in the early 1960s right before Bob Dylan pops on the scene.  A lot of things happen just before the movie starts and during the movie that make Davis rightfully depressed, and he basically does the best that he can to deal with all this heavy shit.  The movie is both well constructed and meandering, showing the dichotomy of how life can be just happening to us and we don’t know what we are doing, but at the same time a movie is supposed to be a constructed poetic and entertaining versions of what probably happened if the story were real.  And of course, since its the Coen brothers, its a dark comedy.  Pokes fun at the whole lower west side early 60s folk scene.  Great cat acting.  Worth Watching

This is the kind of movie I would hate, and I hated this movie. Unwatchable.

(Black comedy, unsympathetic protagonist)
