Pinhole Movie Reviews

Babies by William

This short documentary silently observes babies from Nigeria, Mongolia, Japan, and the United States in their first year of life. Although the filmmakers dare you to do so, any attempt to draw parenting lessons from this film or make sweeping observations about cultural differences would be a stretch. Still, Babies is an entertaining and interesting documentary, and it is impressive how cutting together footage from different regions allows the director to make a point without needing voice-over. Worth Watching.
